Program Architecture

System Integrator Program Levels

System Integrators are Smartsheet partners who support Smartsheet customers in acquiring licenses, either through reseller or referral motions, AND by selling and delivering services in support of Smartsheet products. Systems Integrators deliver unique value to customers through their deep technical and industry expertise. Our program recognizes the partners who have invested to build their Smartsheet skills, knowledge and expertise.

Program Requirements

The Aligned System Integrator Program is a points-based program that recognizes partners based on their performance, expertise and partnership with Smartsheet. The program requirement categories are weighted as we want to recognize the value our partners deliver, not just the volume of transactions produced. There are several metrics within each requirement category that System Integrators will be assessed against. The table below outlines the weight of each program requirement category as well as the corresponding metrics within each category for each tier.

Growth Target Achievement Commission

A commission paid out annually to partners who exceed their annual growth target. Partners who exceed their assigned growth target will begin earning their corresponding commission percentage on every $ ARR above that target

Licenses, Accelerators, New/Exp. Discount

Discount off list price for all new and expansion opportunities transacted through partners

Renewal Discounts

Discount off list price for flat renewals transacted through partners

Deal Registration Discount

An incremental list price discount awarded to partners who submit and receive an approved deal registration

One-time Referral Commission

A commission paid to partners who submit and receive an accepted referral deal registration

One-time Influence Commission

A commission paid to partners who submit and receive an accepted influence deal registration; meaning the approved partner did not necessarily source the opportunity but was proven to have significantly impact the outcome in Smartsheet’s favor

Product, Sales & Solution Training

Training to upskill partner team members on Smartsheet products, how to position them in the markets they serve, and technical skills required to implement Smartsheet solutions

Certification Program

Certification program to enable partner team members to validate their expertise and receive digital badges to be displayed across social platforms and searches

Smartsheet Resources 

Access to internal Smartsheet sales, technical and marketing resources to support the growth of partners' Smartsheet business. Opportunity to request co-funding for dedicated Smartsheet resources on your team

Marketing Support (e.g., campaigns, co-brand collateral, MDF, etc.)

Access to marketing content and collateral via the partner portal, ability to co-brand materials for marketing campaigns, and access to MDF to support approved marketing activities

Minimum ARR target

Minimum Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) dollars for all new and expansion opportunities in a given calendar year required to be eligible for a given tier in the partner program

Y-o-Y $ ARR growth rate

Percent change of current calendar year vs. prior calendar year of a given partner’s $ARR for all new and expansion opportunities

Deal registration $ ARR

Weighted average value of all new and expansion opportunities’ $ARR submitted and approved through the deal registration process based on sales cycle stage

Deal influence $ARR

Total value of $ARR of all new and expansion opportunities that a partner has submitted and been approved as influence through the deal registration process

Customer satisfaction score

Average customer satisfaction score from customer surveys on all partner delivered service engagements

Sales competencies

Completion of sales training and certification to achieve Sales Professional, Sales Consultant and Sales Engineer digital credentials (i.e., badges). Each additional badge earns incremental program points

Product competencies

Completion of Smartsheet University product training and certification to achieve Core Product, System Administrator and Project Management digital credentials (i.e., badges). Each additional badge earns incremental program points

Solution competencies

Completion of solution training and certification to achieve Solution Professional, Solution Consultant, Solution Architect and Solution Developer digital credentials (i.e., badges). Each additional badge earns incremental program points

Business plan completion

Completion of Smartsheet business plan detailing overall relationship goals, go-to-market strategy, growth targets, marketing plans and program performance goals

# of Smartsheet product families supported

Support of Smartsheet product families where a given partner’s $ARR for a given product family exceeds the average $ARR for that product family compared to peers (e.g., average System Integrator $ARR vs. your $ARR for a given product family). The product families are defined as subscription services, Advance services, Brandfolder, premium app add-ons, connectors and professional services.

# of approved customer case studies

Partners must submit case studies for successful customer outcomes to Smartsheet. Case studies should include customer information (e.g., name, industry, size, etc.), need or pain points, description of your solution, outcome of the implemented solution and a customer testimonial. Smartsheet will review and approve submissions based on completeness and quality of the submission and solution.
