Security Analyst - Identity Access Management

Smartsheet has an outstanding opportunity for an Analyst with a technical foundation in identity access management. This position will play a crucial role in managing user identities and access rights, enforcing access control policies, and ensuring compliance with security regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will also include conducting access reviews, collaborating with various teams, and presenting IAM metrics to showcase our continuous efforts and progress.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Identity Access Management and can be based remotely within Costa Rica or in Smartsheet’s corporate offices in San José.

You Will:

  • Partner with both internal and external resources to efficiently conduct and comprehensively document user access reviews, encompassing user accounts, service accounts, and password parameters
  • Ensure the punctual delivery of review results to auditors for rigorous testing, demonstrating commitment to regulatory and security compliance.
  • Aggregate and present pivotal Identity and Access Management (IAM) Metrics, offering a clear view of ongoing efforts
  • Enforce access control policies and procedures to safeguard critical assets.
  • Monitor and maintain IAM systems processes and work queues to ensure proper systems function and access request fulfillment.
  • Maintain and document knowledge base articles and advise staff on the organization's policies, standards, and procedures relating to information security.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and other business teams to enhance provisioning and access management processes, promoting operational efficiency and security.

You Have:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with specialization in an information technology field or equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or certification preferred. 
  • 2+ years experience as an information technology/compliance analyst
  • Experience and understanding of identity and access management and correlating concepts, such as Role-based Access Control, user directories, Single Sign-On, privileged access management, and multifactor authentication (MFA). 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills. 
  • Knowledge of application programming interface (API) concepts and methods 
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple frameworks. (SOC2, NIST, CIS, FEDRAMP, SOX) 
  • Working knowledge of privileged user management tools
  • General information security certification (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, etc.) 
  • Experience with IAM within Okta, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Active Directory
